VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

TOURNAMENT DATE: JANUARY 13, 2007

LOCATION: Westminster Town and Country Gym located in Town & Country at Highway 40 and Maryville Centre Dr., at the former site of the West Tech high school, south of Maryville University.  Please note:  The gym is not located at Westminster High School in Ladue. 

TIME: The tournament will start at 8:30am. Coaches and/ or team captains meeting at 8:15am at the side of Court 1. The gym will open at 8:00am.  Warm ups for the first sets will begin no later than 8:15am.

POOL PLAY

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  The format will be two 4 team pools. Pool play consists of 2 sets to 19 points. Following pool play, all teams will advance to playoffs.  Playoffs will begin immediately after pool play is completed.  All playoffs will be match play with a best 2 out of 3 format (19-pts, 19-pts, 15-pts if needed) with the exception of the final match which will be two sets to 25 points with a 15 point deciding set if needed.

TOURNAMENT UPDATES:  This page will be updated as necessary.  Coaches, players and team reps are encouraged to check this page before the tournament for any changes or updates (team changes, weather problems, etc.).  Immediately following the tournament, the page will be updated with the results and any lost and found information.

CONCESSIONS:  Concessions will be available, including coffee, bagels, yogurt, water, Gatorade, juice, soda, fruit, snacks and sandwiches.

FACILITY INFORMATION: 

·         No parking in yellow or red curbed areas.  The police will  ticket vehicles in these areas.  Parking is available to early birds to the left of the gym.  Additional parking is available in the large parking lot to the right and front of the facility.  The gym is located on the left side of the building as viewed from the parking lot.

·         Please help us keep our facility clean. No food or drinks are allowed in the gym, with the exception of water bottles.  Players and spectators are asked to comply with USAV tournament policies, including picking up their trash.

·         Players and spectators are allowed in the gym, rest rooms and lobby area only.  The loft area above the gym is off limits.

·         No chairs allowed in the gym.  Bleachers are available for spectators.

·         Directions: The gym is located in Town & Country just off Highway 40 on Maryville Centre Drive.  Going east on 40, take the 141exit, drive across 141 to South Outer 40 Dr.  Once past 141, stay to the right and turn right at Maryville Centre Drive into the facility.  Going west on 40, take the Maryville Centre exit, turn left.  Take Maryville Centre Drive into the facility.  The gym is located on the left side of the building.

To avoid having your players and parents showing up at the wrong site, please remind them that the gym is at Westminster's Town & Country property, not Westminster's high school gym in Ladue.
